A few of my friends have been requesting that I cook them one of my favorite traditional Northern Pakistani dishes so that they can try something from my heritage. I decided to make my mom’s Keema Aloo recipe which means Minced Meat and Potatoes. The recipe is easy, healthy, and has lots of flavor. I recommend using grassfed ground beef (Open Nature Grassfed ground beef at Safeway is also Halal and paleo). I chose to substitute regular yogurt with Greek yogurt to increase the protein in the dish (and because I already had Greek yogurt in the fridge. :)) You can serve Keema Aloo on rice like we did tonight, eat with naan/chapaati, or simply enjoy by the spoonful in a bowl.
